Gamescom (stylized as gamescom) is a trade fair for video games held annually at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Beginning in 2018, gamescom is organized by game – German Games Industry Association. It is the world's largest gaming event, (measured by exhibition space and number of visitors) with 370,000 visitors and 1037 exhibitors from 56 countries attending the show in 2018[1] and the biggest gaming news expo of the year in Europe.

Blizzard at gamescom has been one of the exhibitors since the fair's inaugural event in 2009, but only included Heroes of the Storm in its booths in 2014.

Gamescom 2018 was held on August 21 through August 25. On May 15, 2018, Blizzard announced that they would be attending once again.[2] Along with the cosplay contest and live concert, Blizzard also announced new content for their games.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, Diablo III for Switch, Starcraft II, Hearthstone: The Boomsday Project, Overwatch, and Heroes of the Storm were available to play at the Blizzard booth.
