Physical, Spell and All Armor

Armor is a numerical representation of a given Hero's ability to mitigate damage. Each point of Armor is equal to a 1% reduction in damage. Specific types of Armor exist; Physical Armor works against Basic Attacks, whereas Spell Armor works against Ability-based damage Spell damage. Damage that is based on a percent of a given Hero's Health cannot be mitigated by any form of Armor. This means that Giant Killer (+1.5% Max health damage per attack) will do full damage to the target regardless of their current Armor state.

Armor buff and debuff indicators are next to Hero healthbars.

How Armor works[edit | edit source]

Armor is split into three types: Armor, Physical Armor, and Spell Armor:

  • Armor by itself means that you gain mitigation from both Physical and Spell damage.
  • Physical and Spell Armor mitigate damage from their respective key words.
    • All abilities deal Spell Damage; floating damage text will display Spell Damage as purple numbers above the target’s head
    • All Basic Attacks deal Physical Damage; floating damage text will display Physical Damage as orange

Abilities and talents that grant Armor do not stack additively. The game will only apply only the highest (or lowest) amount of Armor to a Hero at any given time.

Heroes with Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Cho's trait, "Ogre Hide", grants him 25 Armor while it is active.
    • His level 20 talent, "The Will of Cho", increases its armor by 2 for each takedown he gets.
    • His level 16 talent, "Twilight Veil", increases the Armor by 200% for 2 seconds.
  • Deckard's trait, "Fortitude of the Faithful", grants him 10 armor when an allied Hero is nearby.
    • His level 16 talent, "Safety in Numbers", increases the armor to 20 when there are at least 3 allied Heroes nearby.
  • Garrosh's trait, "Armor Up", grants him 1 Armor per 2% of health missing.
    • His level 13 talent, "Double Up", increases the Armor by 100% for 3 seconds.
  • Gazlowe's level 20 talent, "Mecha-Lord", adds an additional effect to his "Robo-Goblin" heroic ability, granting him 25 Armor.
  • Greymane has 10 Armor while in Worgen form.
  • Rexxar's level 1 talent, "Easy Prey", grants Misha 50 Armor against minions and mercenaries.
  • Rexxar's level 4 talent, "Hunter-Gatherer", grants him and Misha 15 Armor upon completion.
  • The Lost Vikings' level 4 talent, "Mercenary Lord", grants them 50 Armor against minions and mercenaries.
  • Triglav Protector has 10 Armor as long as it is controlled by two heroes.

Abilities that grant Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Alexstrasza's level 13 talent, "Dragon Scales", grants her 30 Armor while Stunned, Silenced or Rooted and 2 seconds after. Can only trigger once every 10 seconds.
  • Alexstrasza's level 16 talent, "Tough Love", adds an additional effect to her "Gift of Life" ability, granting the target 20 Armor for 2 seconds if she is above 75% health.
  • Ana's ability, "Smelling Salts", adds an additional effect to her "Healing Dart" ability, granting the target 50 Armor for 2 seconds if it was Stunned.
  • Anub'arak and Muradin's level 20 talent, "Hardened Shield", grants them 75 Armor for 4 seconds. 60 seconds cooldown.
  • Artanis's level 4 talent, "Psionic Synergy", adds an additional effect to his "Phase Prism " ability, granting him 20 Armor for 3 seconds if an enemy is hit.
  • Arthas' level 7 talent, "Icebound Fortitude", grants him 25 Armor for 3 seconds.
  • Auriel's level 20 talent, "Diamond Resolve", adds an additional effect to her "Crystal Aegis" heroic ability, granting the target 50 Armor for 5 seconds when it expires.
  • Azmodan's level 4 talent, "Hellforged Armor", adds an additional effect to his "Summon Demon Warrior" ability and "Demon Lieutenant" trait, granting the Demon Warriors and the Demon Lieutenants 25 Armor.
  • Blaze's trait, "Pyromania", grants him 35 Armor for 4 seconds.
  • Blaze's level 10 heroic ability, "Bunker Drop", grants 25 Armor for 2 seconds to anyone exiting the bunker.
    • His level 20 talent, "Fortified Bunker", increases the Armor to 50 and its duration to 3 seconds.
  • Blaze's level 16 talent, "Thermal Protection", adds an additional effect to his "Jet Propulsion" ability, granting him 10 Armor per hero hit for 3 seconds.
  • Chen's level 1 talent, "Accumulating Flame", adds an additional effect to his "Breath of Fire" ability, granting him 25 Armor per hero ignited for 1 second once the quest is complete.
  • Chen's level 20 talent, "Untapped Potential", adds an additional effect to his "Wandering Keg" heroic ability, granting him 60 Armor for its duration.
  • D.Va's level 16 talent, "Nanoweave Suit", adds an additional effect to her "Pilot Mode" trait, granting her 50 Armor for 4 seconds after ejecting from her Mech.
  • Diablo's level 4 talent, "Sacrificial Soul", grants him 25 Armor when stunning a Hero with Shadow Charge. When at 100 Souls, this increases to 50 Armor.
  • E.T.C.'s trait, "Rockstar", grants him 25 Armor for 2 seconds whenever he uses a basic or a heroic ability.
  • E.T.C.'s level 13 talent, "Show Stopper", adds an additional effect to his "Powerslide" ability, granting him 35 Armor for 4 seconds.
  • Fenix's level 13 talent, "Adanium Shell", grants him 40 Armor for 4 seconds after arriving with Warp.
  • Garrosh's level 7 talent, "Into the Fray", grants the target ally 25 Armor for 3 seconds.
  • Gazlowe's level 4 talent, "Hired Goons", grants his Turrets 50 Armor against minions and mercenaries.
  • Gazlowe's level 10 heroic ability, "Robo-Goblin", grants him 40 Armor for 4 seconds.
  • Illidan's level 13 talent, "Nimble Defender", adds an additional effect to his "Sweeping Strike" ability, granting him 25 Armor for 2 seconds if it hits a hero.
  • Leoric's level 13 talent, "Hardened Bones", adds an additional effect to his "Drain Hope" ability, granting him 20 Armor while it is active and 3 additional seconds if it lasts its full duration.
  • Li Li's level 20 talent, "Shake it Off", adds an additional effect to her "Fast Feet" trait, granting her 8 Armor per second while it's active, up to 30 Armor.
  • Lt. Morales' ability, "Safeguard", grants the target 30 Armor for 3 seconds.
    • Her level 7 talent, "Prolonged Safeguard", increases the duration to 4.5 seconds.
    • Her level 7 talent, "Vanadium Plating", pauses the duration whenever the affected target is Stunned.
  • Lt. Morales' level 4 talent, "Trauma Trigger", grants her 40 Armor for 3 seconds when she takes damage below 40% health. 30 seconds cooldown.
  • Lúcio's level 13 talent, "Hard Style", adds an additional effect to his "Wall Ride" trait, granting him 25 Armor while its Movement Speed bonus is active.
  • Maiev's level 13 talent, "Bladed Armor", adds an additional effect to her "Fan of Knives" ability, granting her 5 Armor per enemy hero hit for 5 seconds, up to 20 Armor.
  • Maiev's level 13 talent, "Chain Gang", adds an additional effect to her "Umbral Bind" ability, granting her 35 Armor for 4 seconds if she tethers at least 2 enemy Heroes.
  • Maiev's level 13 talent, "Shadow Armor", adds an additional effect to her "Blink" ability, granting her 20 Armor for 3 seconds, basic attacks against enemy Heroes refresh this duration.
  • Mal'Ganis' ability, "Necrotic Embrace", grants him 25 Armor for 3 seconds.
    • His level 4 talent, "Might of Sargeras", increase the armor gained to 50 but decrease the duration for 2 seconds.
    • His level 4 talent, "Echo of Doom", makes him gain the armor for 1 additional second if the explosion hits an enemy Hero.
  • Medivh's level 4 talent, "Mage Armor", adds an additional effect to his "Portal" ability, granting allies using it for the first time 25 Armor for 4 seconds.
  • Mephisto's level 7 talent, "Ghastly Armor", adds an additional effect to his "Shade of Mephisto" ability, granting him 20 Armor for its duration and 2.5 seconds after it ends.
  • Muradin's ability, "Dwarf Toss", grants him 25 Armor for 2 seconds.
  • Muradin's level 20 talent, "Unstoppable Force", adds an additional effect to his "Avatar" heroic ability, granting him 20 Armor for its duration.
  • Nazeebo's level 13 talent, "Guardian Toads", adds an additional effect to his "Plague of Toads" ability, granting him 25 Armor for 2 seconds if it hits a hero.
  • Nova's level 13 talent, "Ionic Force Field", adds an additional effect to her "Permanent Cloak" trait, granting her 25 Armor for 2 seconds after losing stealth.
  • Ragnaros' level 4 talent, "Catching Fire", grants him 25 Armor for 3 seconds. Can only activate upon completing a quest.
  • Ragnaros' level 13 talent, "Resilient Flame", grants him 40 Armor for 3 seconds upon being Stunned.
  • Raynor's level 4 talent, "Fight or Flight", adds an additional effect to his "Adrenaline Rush" ability, granting him 25 Armor for 4 seconds.
  • Raynor's level 16 talent, "Bounty Hunter", adds an additional effect to his "Give 'Em Some Pepper" trait, granting him 10 Armor for 3 seconds if Give 'Em Some Pepper target is a Hero.
  • Samuro's level 4 talent, "One With The Wind", adds an additional effect to his "Wind Walk" ability, granting him and his images 30 Armor while it is active and 3 seconds after breaking it.
  • Sgt. Hammer's ability, "Neosteel Plating", grants her 25 Armor (50 armor while in Siege Mode) for 2 seconds.
  • Sonya's level 20 talent, "Ignore Pain", grants her 60 Armor for 4 seconds. Usable while Whirlwinding. 60 seconds cooldown.
  • Stitches's level 20 talent, "Shambling Horror", grants him 40 Armor for 5 seconds.
  • Stukov's level 10 heroic ability, "Massive Shove", grants him 50 Armor while shoving an enemy hero.
  • Tassadar's level 4 talent, "Khala's Light", adds an additional effect to his "Plasma Shield" ability, granting the target 20 Armor for 3 seconds once the shield expires or breaks.
  • The Butcher's level 16 talent, "Enraged", grants him 25 Armor for 10 seconds when his health is reduced below 50%. 25 seconds cooldown.
  • Triglav Protector's ability "Shield Emitter" grants him 25 Armor for several seconds.
  • Tychus' level 7 talent, "Relentless Soldier", grants him 25 Armor for 3 seconds upon being Stunned or Rooted.
  • Tychus' level 10 heroic ability, "Comandeer Odin", grants him 25 Armor for its duration.
  • Tyrael's level 4 talent, "Stalwart Angel", adds an additional effect to his "El'druin's Might" ability, granting him 20 while it is active and 3 seconds after teleporting.
  • Tyrael's level 20 talent, "Defense of the Angels", grants him 50 Armor for 5 seconds.
  • Uther's trait, "Eternal Devotion", grants 15 Armor for 2 seconds to any hero he heals.
    • His level 7 talent, "Guardian of Ancient Kings", increases the Armor granted by "Devotion" to 50 if he heals a hero that is Stunned, Rooted or Silenced.
    • His level 20 talent, "Divine Protection", allows "Devotion" to stack twice.
  • Valeera's level 10 heroic ability, "Smoke Bomb", grants her 30 Armor while she remains in the smoke. Lasts 5 seconds.
  • Varian's level 16 talent, "Banner of Ironforge", places a banner that grants 20 Armor to nearby allied heroes. Lasts 12 seconds.
  • Whitemane's level 10 heroic ability, "Scarlet Aegis", grants allied heroes in its area of effect 40 armor for 4 seconds.
  • Yrel's level 10 heroic ability, "Sacred Ground", grants her 40 Armor while she remains in the area.
  • Yrel's level 4 talent, "Aegis of Light", adds an additional effect to her "Avenging Wrath" ability, granting allies 25 Armor for 4 seconds when after landing with Avenging Wrath.
  • Zagara's level 13 talent, "Protective Coating", adds an additional effect to her "Creep Tumor" trait, granting her 20 Armor while on Creep.
  • Zarya's level 13 talent, "Endurance Training", adds an additional effect to her "Energy" trait, granting her 20 Armor while above 75 Energy.
  • Zul'jin's level 4 talent, "Amani Hide", grants him 15 Armor while "Amani Rage"'s health regeneration is active.

Abilities that lower Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Arthas' level 13 talent, "Shattered Armor", adds an additional effect to his "Howling Blast" ability, lowering the Armor of enemy heroes hit by 15 for 4 seconds.
  • Azmodan's level 20 talent, "Black Pool", adds an additional effect to his "Tide of Sin" heroic ability, lowering the armor of the enemies in its area of effect by 8 per second, up to 15.
  • Brightwing's level 16 talent, "Critterize", adds an additional effect to her "Polymorph" ability, lowering a hero's Armor by 25 for the duration of the Polymorph (1.25 seconds).
  • Deckard's level 1 talent, "Scroll of Identify", adds an additional effect to his "Scroll of Sealing" ability, lowering the Armor of enemies hit by 15 for 4 seconds once the quest is complete.
  • Dehaka's level 13 talent, "Primal Swarm", adds an additional effect to his "Dark Swarm" ability, lowering the Armor of enemies hit by 10 for 0.75 seconds.
  • Gall's trait, "Ogre Rage", lowers Cho Armor by 25 while it is active.
  • Gul'dan's level 20 talent, "Haunt", adds an additional effect to his "Horrify" heroic ability, lowering the Armor of enemies by 25 while they are Feared.
  • Hanzo's level 7 talent, "Sharpened Arrowheads", makes his Basic Attacks and "Storm Bow" lower armor by 2 for 3 seconds, stacking up to 20.
  • Jaina's level 16 talent, "Northern Exposure", adds an additional effect to her "Cone of Cold" ability, lowering the Armor of enemies hit by 25 for 2 seconds.
  • Kel'Thuzad' level 1 talent, "Barbed Chains", adds an additional effect to his "Chains of Kel'Thuzad" ability, lowering the Armor of pulled enemy heroes hit by 10 for 4 seconds.
  • Maiev's level 20 talent, "Shadow Orb: Shadow Strike", lowers a target enemy's Armor by 20 for 4 seconds.
  • Nova's level 16 talent, "Crippling Shot", adds an additional effect to her "Pinning Shot" ability, lowering a hero's Armor by 25 for the duration of the Slow (2.25 seconds).
  • Orphea's level 20 talent, "Determination", adds an additional effect to her "Crushing Jaws" ability, lowering the Armor of enemies hit by 25 for 2 seconds.
  • Raynor's level 20 talent, "Weak Spot Acquired", lowers the Give 'Em Some Pepper's target Armor by 25 for 2 seconds.
  • Sgt. Hammer's level 20 talent, "Sharpnel Mines", adds an additional effect to her "Spider Mines" ability, reducing 10 Armor of enemy heroes hit by it for 4 seconds.
  • Stitches' level 13 talent, "Lacerate", adds an additional effect to his "Slam" ability, reducing 10 Armor of enemy heroes hit by it for 4 seconds.
  • Sylvanas' level 13 talent, "Cold Embrace", adds an additional effect to her "Shadow Dagger" ability, lowering the Armor of the initial target by 25 and to enemies it spreads by 10 for 2.5 seconds.
  • Tassadar's level 16 talent, "Phase Disruption", adds an additional effect to his "Psionic Storm" ability, reducing 25 Armor of enemy heroes being hit by it.
  • Tyrande's trait, "Hunter's Mark", lowers a target enemy's Armor by 15 for 4 seconds.
    • Her level 13 talent, "Ranger's Mark", increases the current duration by 0.5 seconds for every basic attacks against the enemy.
    • Her level 16 talent, "Huntress' Fury", increases the duration to 5 seconds.
  • Valeera's level ability, "Ambush", lowers a target enemy's Armor by 10 for 4 seconds.
    • Her level 16 talent, "Assassinate", removes additional 10 Armor if there are no other enemy heroes within 4 range of the target.
  • Varian's level 10 heroic ability, "Colossus Smash", lowers a target enemy's Armor by 25 for 3 seconds.
  • Whitemane's level 7 talent, "Fanatical Power", lowers her armor by 25 for 5 seconds granting increased Spell Power for the same period.
    • Her level 20 talent, "Purge the Wicked", lowers the armor of target enemy hero by 25 for 4 seconds.
  • Xul's level 16 talent, "Amplify Damage", adds an additional effect to his "Bone Prison" ability, lowering the Armor of the target by 25 for 1.75 seconds.
  • Yrel's level 13 talent, "Templar's Verdict", adds an additional effect to her "Righteous Hammer" ability, lowering the Armor of enemies hit by the ability by 20 for 4 seconds.

  • Cassia's trait, "Avoidance", grants her 40 Physical Armor against hero basic attacks while she moves unmounted.

Abilities that grant Physical Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Artanis' level 1 talent, "Reactive Parry", adds an additional effect to his "Twin Blades" ability, grants him 50 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack whenever he uses it, can store 2 charges.
  • Arthas' level 1 talent, "Rime", grants him 75 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack every 5 seconds, can store 3 charges.
  • E.T.C.'s level 1 talent, "Block Party", adds an additional effect to his "Rockstar" trait, granting nearby allied heroes 50 Physical Armor against the next hero Basic Attack for 8 seconds. Can store 2 charges.
  • Greymane's level 4 talent, "Thick Skin", adds an additional effect to his "Darkflight" ability, granting him 50 Physical Armor against 2 hero Basic Attacks while in Worgen form.
  • Illidan's level 7 talent, "Reflexive Block", adds an additional effect to his "Dive" ability, granting him 75 Physical Armor against 2 hero Basic Attacks for 3 seconds.
  • Jaina's level 4 talent, "Armor of Frost", grants her 50 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack every 10 seconds.
  • Johanna's level 1 talent, "Reinforce", grants her 50 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack whenever she uses a basic ability, can store 2 charges.
  • Kel'Thuzad's level 4 talent, "Armor of the Archlich", grants him 50 Physical Armor for 4 seconds.
  • Muradin, Sonya and The Butcher's level 1 talent, "Block", grants them 75 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack every 5 seconds, can store 2 charges.
  • Kharazim's level 4 talent, "Earth Ally", places an Earth Ally that grants 50 Physical Armor to nearby allied heroes. Lasts 10 seconds.
  • Kharazim's level 13 talent, "Sixth Sense", grants him 75 Physical Armor for 4 seconds upon being Stunned or Rooted.
  • Mal'Ganis' level 4 talent, "Winged Guardian", adds an additional effect to his "Necrotic Embrace" ability, granting him 50 Physical Armor each time the ability hits an enemy hero.
  • Malthael's level 13 talent, "Ethereal Existence", adds an additional effect to his "Reaper's Mark" trait, granting him 10 Physical Armor for every enemy hero afflicted by it, up to a maximum of 30.
  • Rexxar's level 4 talent, "Grizzled Fortitude", grants him and Misha 75 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack every 7 seconds, can store 2 charges.
  • Samuro's level 4 talent, "Deflection", adds an additional effect to his "Advancing Strikes" trait, granting him and his images 25 Physical Armor while it is active.
  • Sonya's level 1 talent, "Tough As Nails", grants her 60 Physical Armor every 16 seconds that can be stored up to 3 charges.
  • Stukov's level 4 talent, "Biotic Armor", adds an additional effect to his "Healing Pathogen" ability, granting the initial target 50 Physical Armor while active on them.
  • The Lost Vikings' level 1 talent, "Olaf the Stout", grants Olaf 75 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack every 5 seconds, can store 2 charges.
  • Thrall's level 4 talent, "Feral Resilience", adds an additional effect to his "Feral Spirit" ability, granting him 50 Physical Armor against the next 2 hero Basic Attacks.
  • Valeera's level 1 talent, "Combat Readiness", grants her 60 Physical Armor against an enemy hero's basic attack for each combo point spent, can store 3 charges.
  • Yrel's level 1 talent, "Dauntless", grants her 35 Physical Armor for 2 seconds after casting any of her basic abilities.
  • Zarya's level 4 talent, "Defensive Shielding", grants the target of "Personal Barrier" and "Shield Ally" upon expiration or breaking 75 Physical Armor against the next 2 hero Basic Attacks for 6 seconds.

Abilities that lower Physical Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Maiev's level 7 talent, "Bonds of Corruption", reduce the Physical Armor of enemy Heroes pulled by Umbral Bind by 25 for 3 seconds.
  • Nova's level 7 talent, "Anti-Armor Shells", makes her Basic Attacks reduce the Physical Armor of heroic targets by 15 for 3 seconds.

Spell Armor[edit | edit source]

Heroes with Spell Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Nazeebo's level 13 talent, "Superstition", grants him 40 Spell Armor. Being hit by heroic Basic Attacks removes this bonus for 3 seconds.
  • Valla's level 13 talent, "Gloom", grants her 20 Spell Armor. It can be activated to consume all Hatred and grant additional 3 Spell Armor per Hatred for 5 seconds.

Abilities that grant Spell Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Anub'arak's Ability, "Harden Carapace", grants him 40 Spell Armor while active.
    • His level 1 talent, "Nerubian Armor", increases the Spell Armor by 20.
  • Anub'arak's level 1 talent, "Resilient Scarabs", adds an additional effect to his "Scarab Host" trait, granting beetles 50 Spell Armor.
  • Artanis' level 13 talent, "Phase Bulwark", adds an additional effect to his "Shield Overload" trait, granting him 50 Spell Armor for 4 seconds when it activates.
  • Blaze's level 16 talent, "Juggernaut Plating", grants him 50 Spell Armor for 3 seconds.
  • Brightwing's Ability, "Pixie Dust", grants the target 25 Spell Armor for 3 seconds.
    • Her level 13 talent, "Pixie Power", increase Pixie Dust's Spell Armor to 50.
  • Chen's level 7 talent, "Purifying Brew", adds an additional effect to his "Fortifying Brew" trait, granting him 40 Spell Armor while channeling it.
  • Dehaka's level 1 talent, "Enduring Swarm", adds an additional effect to his "Dark Swarm" ability, granting him 40 Spell Armor while it is active.
  • Diablo's level 1 talent, "Soul Shield", grants him 25 plus 50% of Diablo's current Soul as Spell Armor for 4 seconds.
  • Fenix's level 13 talent, "Dampening Field", grants him 20 Spell Armor while he has a shield from Shield Capacitor.
  • Genji's level 7 talent, "Cyber Shield", adds an additional effect to his "Cyber Agility" trait, granting him 50 Spell Armor for 2.5 seconds.
  • Gul'dan's level 13 talent, "Fel Armor", adds an additional effect to his "Fel Flame" ability, granting him 40 Spell Armor for 2.5 seconds when it hits an enemy hero.
  • Illidan's level 13 talent, "Sixth Sense", adds an additional effect to his "Evasion" ability, granting him 75 Spell Armor against the next 2 sources of Spell Damage while it is active.
  • Kerrigan's level 13 talent, "Psionic Barrier", grants her 15 Spell Armor for 4 seconds for every enemy Hero she hits with Primal Grasp's pull or explosion.
  • Kharazim,Uther, Zagara and Zeratul's level 13 talent, "Spell Shield", grants them 50 Spell Armor for 3 seconds upon taking Spell Damage, 30 second cooldown.
  • Li-Ming's level 1 talent, "Force Armor", adds an additional effect to her "Magic Missiles" ability, granting her 75 Spell Armor against the next source of Spell Damage when hitting enemy heroes, can store 4 charges.
  • Lunara's level 13 talent, "Greater Spell Shield", grants her 75 Spell Armor for 3 seconds upon taking Spell Damage, 30 second cooldown.
  • Malthael's level 13 talent, "Shroud of Wisdom", grants him 50 Spell Armor for 4 seconds after a 2 seconds delay.
  • Murky's level 4 talent, "Tufferfish", adds an additional effect to his "Pufferfish" ability, granting the Pufferfish 50 Spell Armor.
  • Orphea's level 13 talent, "Determination", adds an additional effect to her "Shadow Waltz" ability, grants her 50 Spell Armor stacking up to 2 times after dashing.

  • The Butcher's level 7 talent, "Meat Shield", adds an additional effect to his "Ruthless Onslaught" ability, granting him 50 Spell Armor for 2.5 seconds when it hits an enemy hero.
  • Thrall's level 13 talent, "Spirit Shield", grants him 50 Spell Armor for 1.5 seconds upon taking Spell Damage, 45 second cooldown, can be reduced with "Frostwolf Resilience".
  • Tychus' level 13 talent, "Neosteel Coating", grants him 75 Spell Armor for 3 seconds.
  • Tyrande's level 7 talent, "Kaldorei Resistance", adds an additional effect to her "Light of Elune" ability, granting the target 10 Spell Armor for 2 seconds, stacking up to 2 times.
  • Valeera's level 10 heroic ability, "Cloak of Shadows", grants her 75 Spell Armor for 1.5 seconds.
  • Zarya's level 13 talent, "Spell Barrier", adds an additional effect to her "Personal Barrier" ability, granting her 75 Spell Armor for 3 seconds when it expires or breaks.

Abilities that ignore Armor[edit | edit source]

  • Any attack or ability that deals Percent Damage ignores armor completely.
  • Cassia's level 20 talent, "Titan's Revenge", makes her Basic Attacks ignore Armor.
  • Orphea's level 16 talent, "Dead Magic", makes her Basic Attacks that consume Chaos ignore Armor.
  • Zul'jin's level 16 talent, "No Mercy!", adds an additional effect to his "Grievous Throw" ability, making his Basic Attacks against marked enemy heroes ignore Armor.
