Emoji Diablo Pack 2 Diablo Angry

Diablo

  • Xul: Do you think you can put aside our differences for this fight, Diablo?
  • Diablo: Let it be so.
  • Diablo: I would destroy you if I could!

Xul, along with Cassia, the Sorceress Isendra, an unnamed Barbarian, and an unnamed Paladin, defeated Diablo in Act IV of Diablo II.
Emoji Valla Pack 1 Valla Happy

Diablo III Hero

  • Xul: So you're the next generation. Think you can keep up with an old man?

Emoji Johanna Pack 1 Johanna Happy

Johanna

  • Xul: You're from Sanctuary? Perhaps you know why tome of town portal isn't working.
  • Johanna: Let's defeat our foe, and then we can worry about how to get home.
In Diablo II, players can purchase a tome to store Scrolls of Town Portal in. When used, these Scrolls summon a portal to the town respective to the Act the player is currently in.
  • Johanna: It has been a long time since you were in the fight. Are you ready?
  • Xul: It's only been a long time... to you.
Emoji Li-Ming Pack 1 Li-Ming Happy

Tyrael

  • Xul: Archangel Tyrael. It is good to see you continue to fight for the balance.
  • Tyrael: I will lend you my aid once again, mortal.
Tyrael helped Xul and his cohorts defeat Diablo in Diablo II. Additionally, when the Angels convened to decide what to do about humans, he and Auriel voted to spare Humanity, arguing that they were capable of great good.
  • Tyrael: It is good to see you again, hero.
  • Xul: Tyrael... I'm glad to see you survive the Worldstone's destruction.
The explosion of the Worldstone at the finale of Diablo II dispersed Tyrael's light and harmony. Without form or shape, he spent the twenty years between Diablo II and Diablo III within Pandemonium, restoring his physical form.

Hero Quote Audio Background
vs. Arthas Merely a boy, masquerading as a god of death.
vs. Azmodan (scoffs) Duriel was tougher, and he was a giant maggot. Duriel was a Lesser Evil who was defeated by Xul and his cohorts in Act II of Diablo II.
vs. demon The balance will be upheld, demon.
vs. death Well, that's one less master of death clogging up the Nexus.
vs. Diablo Lord Diablo, I have bested you! This is Xul's quote upon slaying Diablo in Act IV of Diablo II.
vs. Diablo III hero And I'm not even a Nephalem!
vs. Leoric I have no use for undead that refuse to obey.
vs. Mephisto Good journey, Mephisto. Give my regards to the abyss. This is Xul's quote upon slaying Mephisto in Act III of Diablo II.
vs. Nazeebo The dead are meant to serve, witch doctor. Not be served.
vs. Tyrael Apologies, angel, but those who upset the balance will fall.
vs. undead hero What a waste of undead flesh. This is Xul's quote upon slaying Radament, a minor boss in Act II of Diablo II.
vs. Zeratul You're right, scythes are nice. This is a reference to one of Zeratul's poke quotes: "Scythes are nice, but I prefer cloak and dagger."
vs. hero with kill streak The power of death is at my command.
Generic Just another corpse.
Meet your death.
Never doubt my skills. This is a reference to Xul's quote upon slaying Baal in Act V of Diablo II: "Baal, never doubt my skills."
It will take more than that to stop me. Likely a reference to Xul's quote upon entering the Bloody Foothills in Act V of Diablo II: "It takes more than a siege to stop me."
The balance has been served.
Ha! I've got your ear. Player vs. player combat in Diablo games results in a slain player dropping their severed ear as a trophy for the victor.

What is it?
Must you disturb me?
Hmm? Oh, yes, the scythe is new to me as well, but I must admit... I'm starting to like it.
There are only two things that are inescapable... death and... Hmm. You know what? I forget what the second one was... Oh, let's just go with death twice. A play on the phrase "Only two things are inescapable; death and birth".
My, my... Death becomes you. Likely a reference to the 1992 Film "Death Becomes Her".
We, the Priests of Rathma, have been charged to maintain the Balance, but it seems many do not understand what it is.
Think of the Balance as a net... an unknowable safety net that keeps your soft pink insignificance from being consumed by oblivion. My charge is to maintain that net. Now, thank me! This is a reference to Dr. Orpheus from The Venture Bros: "Do you even know what I do for a living? …You stand not on solid ground. Below this Earth you trust to be solid is a net. This unknowable safety net keeps your soft pink insignificance from plunging eternally towards oblivion. My job, sir, is to repair that net! Now thank me!" (Season 2 Episode 4 "Escape to the House of Mummies")
The leader of the Necromancers is known as the Deathspeaker. Three guesses what he likes to talk about.
In my day no one would believe you if you said nephalem were real... and yet, here they are... and six of them no less! Rather excessive... isn't it?
You think this is difficult? Ha! You're not even playing in Hardcore mode!
You reap what you sow... and I sow the seeds of death.
Yes, I bring people back from the dead, but it's not a pretty picture. A reference to a scene in Disney's Aladdin, where Genie discusses his limitations.
For the last time, a necromancer does not romance the dead... that's a necro–you know what, nevermind. A joke about necromancers sometimes being confused with necrophiles, the latter being defined as "a person who is sexually attracted to corpses".
Someday I'm going to have to figure out something to do with all these ears I've collected. Maybe I'll make a belt or something. Player vs. player combat in Diablo games results in a slain player dropping their severed ear as a trophy for the victor.

Also likely homage to "String of Ears": a belt in Diablo II.

Bring out your dead, you say? Don't mind if I do... A Monty Python reference.
Maintaining the Balance is difficult. But you buff an angel here, nerf a demon there, and the job gets done. In gaming terms, balance is typically achieved through improving (buffing) underperforming aspects, and reducing (nerfing) overperforming aspects, or a combination of both.

Commands[ | ]

Ever onward.
Forward, unto darkness.
As you say.
So be it.
A worthwhile pursuit.
Attack You will be made silent.
As the Balance decrees.
Go into the blackened night!
Do not fear death.
Trag'Oul's blade whispers your name.
Now... you die!
Know the abyss as it knows you! Possibly a reference to a quote from German Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche: "[...] And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
Not Enough

Mana

I require... mana.
Not enough mana.
I wish I had a mana potion. Mana Potions are items in the Diablo series that restore Mana when consumed.

Taunting You... have a date with death.
