During the Night Elf campaign in Reigns of Chaos, Gul'dan's skull was used as a powerful artifact by the demons invading Ashenvale. Illidan would later claim the skull and use its powers to kill the demons himself.

The Horde, since Ogrim Doomhammer's tenure, has only kept the warlocks for their power, while Thrall's new Horde has since phased out Gul'dan's warlocks and necrolytes in favor of shamans.

I'll have you know death knights were my idea first. And for the record, most of Ner'zhul's aren't even dead. It's complete lunacy.		Warcraft II's Death Knights were formed from the corpses of knights killed during the first war. Warcraft III's Death Knights were primarily Paladins that simply had their souls corrupted to serve the Lich King. Ironically, in World of Warcraft and other Warcraft books and media, there are many cases of Death Knights being those reborn from the dead.

A true warlock doesn't need to summon infernal horrors, when they are the infernal horror.		Warlock was the hero in the original Warcraft III DOTA that used the Stormreaver Necrolyte's model, which was shared by Gul'dan. For his ultimate, Warlock would summon Infernals to aid him.

You're saying.. there's an alternate timeline version of me loose upon the Cosmos? (laughs) You are all so very doomed. They don't even know what to do with just one of me!		When Garrosh went back into time to save his father and prevent the orcs from drinking Mannoroth's blood, he ended up creating a completely different timeline. Additionally, the Warcraft movie's universe is separate from the one in the games.
I once was the head of a secretive council the controlled the Orcish Horde from the shadows. I called it... the Shadow Council. Shut up, naming things is hard!
When the warlock clans first began their training, their primitive incantations could barely summon spiders. Summoning a demon, pfft, was merely a dream.		Warcraft I's warlock needed a Minor Summoning upgrade in order to know how to summon spiders which could be unlocked early into the orc campaign. Much later on, it became possible for a warlock to have the Major Summoning upgrade which would allow them to summon demons.
And back then 'daemon' had an 'a' in it. Like I intended! It looks more mystical that way.		Both Warcraft I and Warcraft II held a few spelling changes to try and add a more fantasy feel. Aside from daemon, there would also be magik.
Those with power must wield it without fear. And if that power allows you to cast fear upon others, well that's a nice bonus.
