Winter Veil 2016.jpg
"The year is slowly winding down, but the merriment of Winter Veil is about to begin! Greatfather Winter is already on his way to spread holiday cheer in the Nexus, and he’s packing plenty of presents for everyone to enjoy during this year’s festivities." [1]

The Feast of Winter Veil, also called the feast of Great-Winter, is a seasonal event from the Warcraft universe that takes place during December. It is the in-game counterpart of the Christmas and other holidays at the end of the year.

The event will be celebrated with new limited availability skins and mounts, and special event quests.

Background[edit | edit source]

The Feast of Winter Veil is one of the most anticipated events of the year! While enjoying a freshly nutmegged cup of nog, and crunching on a crumbly cookie or two, be sure to visit Greatfather Winter in Ironforge if you’re Alliance, or Great-father Winter in Orgrimmar if you’re Horde. While there, you’ll find a few treats, and surely a few tasks to take on as well.[2]

Quests[edit | edit source]

2015[edit | edit source]

Feast of Winter Veil 2015 brought two special quests, with each game played during the event counting toward completion of both quests.

  • Play 15 Games – Earn a 4 day Stimpack
  • Play 50 Games – Earn a 10 day Stimpack

2016[edit | edit source]

After playing 25 games during the event, players will unlock the following rewards.

Temporary mount[edit | edit source]

Even the Scrooge-like Treasure Goblin has gotten into the holiday spirit by donning Greatfather Winter’s robes, and adorning himself with candy canes, bells, and bows. The Festive Treasure Goblin Mount will arrive alongside Winter Veil, but this limited-time Mount can’t be purchased. No, this particular Treasure Goblin is feeling extra generous, and will be available to all players for free during Winter Veil! Spread a few snowflakes around the Nexus this year by making sure to select the Festive Treasure Goblin mount before you hit that Ready button in your game lobbies.[1]
