  • Rare Glam Metal E.T.C. is a reference to Glam metal, also referred to as Hair metal, popular in the 1980s. Azure Glam Metal E.T.C. has a color scheme and guitar reminiscent of Prince and his symbol-shaped guitar[2].

  • D.Va D.Va's dance animation is a reference to dance moves seen in the choreography for K-pop girl group Twice's song "Cheer Up." D.Va's taunt is also derived from Twice's choreography for their song "TT."

  • Tyrande Tyrande's dance animation is a reference to dance moves seen in Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" music video.
  • Hallow's End brawl has a special objective called "Smashing Pumpkins" which is a reference to the Grunge band of the same name.
